More reasons to sit zazen.

Here's a great report by the BBC on the merits of 'mindful meditation', or as we call it, zazen.

  1. Interesting that all the people they showed had their eyes closed... I do zazen with my eyes open, how about you?

Was a nice piece and a nice Doctor there running the system...

  2. Half closed, looking down at about a 45% angle. If there's a wall in front of me (there always is) I look through it, rather than at it. Ultimately I prefer to let go of my sight and focus my mind's eye on something else, like my breathing, or my posture.
